Customs: Russia’s coal export revenue falls 18% in Jan–Jul

MOSCOW, Sep 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s revenue from coal exports fell 18% on the year to U.S. $4.554 billion in January–July, as seen by PRIME in data of the Federal Customs Service on Wednesday.

In physical terms, Russia’s coal exports increased 8.3% to 89.979 million tonnes in the period.

Coal exports to non-CIS countries rose 9.1% to 84.345 million tonnes worth $4.21 billion, a 17.6% fall in monetary terms. Coal exports to CIS countries decreased 2.8% to 5.634 million tonnes worth $343.6 million, a 23.2% decrease in monetary terms.
